This solid metal standard design floor vent has a metal mechanism to close off air flow when not required.
They are designed for a standard 12" x 4" opening in the floor.
Also available in:

5 Year replacement warranty.
Use the Deflecto® Model 50 or 99 Air Deflectors to deflect the air across the floor rather than up behind curtains or under furniture.

Very happy with prompt delivery and competitive price. Have installed one vent so far (others as replacements for old plastic vents as they get broken). Good colour match. Too early to really comment on product performance - although the wheel mechanism to open vent is pretty stiff and it only opens partially.
